The 4 speed pistolgrip is original. It has a sure grip rear. Dash lights do not work, it has a oilleak at intake manifold where oil pools over timeing chain housing, not bad butthere. Body has small spots of cancer as noticed in picures. It has beenrepainted and done well however i am told car was blue originaly. It is a funcar to drive, and has lots of power. I know fixed up this car would be worth alot more. I do not have the time, and money is tight.

Comoptions:description:here's the story about the car: i have had the car over 20 years. Mybusiness partner and myself have both loved mopars since we were teenagers. (along time ago!) when i bought itthe person who sold it to me had started fixingit up. It had already been re-painted by them. (i believe it might have beenoriginally a light yellow.) the440 had already been installed too. This car wasoriginally a small block (318). They also put the r/t stripes on the car. 1971challenger convertibles never were r/t's nor did they come with a 440. Another odd thing came with the car back then. It had a 4 point roll bar weldedinto the floor behind the front seats. I didn't get much info about the pasthistory from the seller but they did mention that it had been "raced" a little. Judging from the 440 and the shift kit in theauto transmission, i'm notsurprised the roll bar was there. One of the first things i did was to have theroll bar removed. (safety yes, but it looks much better without.).

I have literally babied this car every time i've driven it - yes, i have enjoyed it's unbelievable performance, but always with respect for the car's mechanicals.
